  Usually only your good oral hygiene (brushing after meals, flossing daily, and maintaining regular professional check-ups) is required. The doctor may advise you to wear a soft, comfortable mouth guard at night to protect your veneers if you clench or grind at night. You should avoid biting directly into very hard foods to prevent damage.
• How long do they last?
  With good home care and regular cleanings, you may expect your veneers to last ten years or more.
